Peningkatan Kemandirian Perawatan Diri Melalui Program Toilet Training Berbasis Video Animasi Pada Anak Tunagrahita Kelas VII Di Sekolah Khusus Dan Terapi Indogrow Soroako

The problem addressed in this study is that children with intellectual disabilities experience difficulties in performing self-care independently, particularly in using the toilet. The objectives of this study are to determine the level of self-care independence before the implementation of the animated video-based toilet training program, the level of self-care independence after the implementation of the animated video-based toilet training program, and whether there is an increase in self-care independence through the implementation of the program. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive research type and a pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques used performance tests and observation. The data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively to obtain an overview of self-care independence before and after the use of animated videos. The results showed that the self-care independence of seventh-grade children with intellectual disabilities before the use of animated videos was in the low category (score of 33.3), then after the application of animated videos, it was in the very high category (score of 88.8).Downloads
